Through an in-depth phone consultation, we’ll discover every detail we need to write your child’s story; from the whimsical to the monumental, learning about every favourite, every nuance and every story stich that will be weaved together by our master wordsmith.

Your fable will then bound amongst beautiful drawings in a 36-page hard back book, resulting in an inimitable story uniquely crafted for your child, to be treasured for a lifetime.

Our Process

How a Fable is made

  • The Consultation 

    Calls typically last 30 minutes during which time we find out exactly what will make your story shine. From the type of story, whether it be magical or adventure, to every detail that makes your child unique. This step is crucial in ensuring our scribe can craft the story destined for your child.

  • The writing 

    Our master storyteller uses story alchemy to create the magical tale that brings your child to life on the page. After refining the story, you will be sent a final edit for approval. 

  • The illustration 

    Our designer Natalie will set your story amongst her hand drawn, magical illustrations and artwork. Using her artistry and expertise, the words of your story will unfurl into an inimitable Fable.

  • The final product 

    The finished copy and images are sent off to our family-run British printing press where they are bound and embossed on 160gsm di-pro paper before being sent to your home, to be held, loved and read to life.
